PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
Tiamulin is a semi-synthetic antibiotic, belonging to the pleuromutilin group. Preparation is active against Gram-positive and Gram-negative pathogens (Brachyspira innocens, Brachyspirapilosicoli, Leptospira spp., Clostridium perfringens, Streptococcus spp.,
Staphylococсusspp., Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae, Listeria monocytogenes, Pasteurella multocida, Actinomycespyogenes, Actinobacillus spp., Fusobacterium spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae, Haemophilusspp., Bacteroides spp., Campylobacter coli, Lawsonia intracellularis), as well as against Chlamydia and Mycoplasmas (Mycoplasma hyopneumoniae, Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, M.hyorhinis, M. bovis etc.). Tiamulin acts on the 70S ribosomal level, primary binding site is on the 50S-sublevel, and the secondary is possible in the junction places of the sublevels of 50S and 30S subunits. It inhibits the synthesis of proteins by microbes, producing biochemical inactive initiative complexes to prevent the growth of the polypeptide chain.
ADMINISTRATION
Treatment of swine in case of dysentery, as well as with respiratory and joints diseases, caused by pathogens susceptible to Tiamulin. Poultry (broilers, young growth, hens, turkeys and poults): the treatment of poultry with respiratory diseases caused by pathogens susceptible to Tiamulin.
ROUTES OF ADMINISTRATION AND DOSAGES
Orally via drinking water or food.
Pigs: - for the treatment of dysentery at a dose of 0.02 g of product (8.8 mg Tiamulin) per 1 kg of animal body weight per day for 3-5 days. The dose of Tiamulin is ensured by a concentration of 0.006% in drinking water; for the treatment of pigs with respiratory diseases caused by M. hyopneumoniae, P.
multocida, at a dose 0,033-0,044 g of product (15,0-20,0 mg Tiamulin) per 1 kg of animal body weight per day for 5-10 days. The dose of Tiamulin is ensured by a concentration of 0.012% -0.018% in drinking water; for the treatment of pleuropneumonia caused by A.pleuropneumoniae at a dose 0.044 g.
of product (20.0 mg Tiamulin) per 1 kg of animal body weight per day for 5-7 days. The dose of Tiamulin is ensured by a concentration of 0.018% in drinking water; for the treatment of Mycoplasma arthritis in pigs caused by Mycoplasma hyosynoviae, dose is 0.044 g of product (20.0 mg Tiamulin) per 1 kg of animal body weight per day for 5-7 days. The dose of Tiamulin is ensured by a concentration of 0.018% in drinking water. To prepare a great volume of the product solution, foremost you need prepare the concentrated solution (with a maximum product concentration of 50-60 g per 1 liter of drinking water), and then it is diluted to the desired concentration. Fresh Tiamulin solutions should be prepared daily.

Chickens (broilers, young growth, layer hens and breeding birds) - for the treatment of respiratory mycoplasmosis of poultry (RMP) and alveolar sacculitis caused by M. gallisepticum and M. synoviae, orally at a concentration of 0.025% Tiamulin in drinking water for 3-5 days.
Depending on the age of the birds, the daily dose of Tiamulin at a concentration of 0.025% in drinking water is: for day-old chicks - 0,28-0,33 g of preparation (125-150 mg Tiamulin) per kg
body weight; for broilers at the age under 4 weeks - 0,07- 0,11 g of the drug (30-50 mg Tiamulin) per kg of body weight; for chicks aged under 10 weeks - 0,07- 0,10 g of the drug (30-45 mg Tiamulin) per kg of body weight; for layer hens - 0.055 g of product (25 mg Tiamulin) per kg of body weight.

WITHDRAWAL PERIOD
For meat of animals – 4 days (pigs), 2 days (broilers, young growth, layer hens and breeding birds) and 5 days (turkeys), after last treatment. Meat received before this time should be disposed or fed to non-productive animals, depending on conclusion of veterinarian. No withdrawal period for eggs.
PRECAUTIONS
The drug is used in combination with etiotropic therapy.
Milk and eggs obtained from animals during treatment with acetylsalicylic acid are prohibited for human consumption.
Slaughter of the animals for meat is allowed at least 1 day after the last treatment. Meat received before the specified time should be disposed of or fed to non-productive animals, depending on the conclusion of the veterinarian.
SHELF LIFE
36 months. After first opening – 28 days if stored in dark place at +5 to +25° С. After dissolving in drinking water should be used within 24 hours.
STORAGE CONDITIONS
Store in dry, dark places, out of the reach of children, at +5 to +25 С.
