VIROSAN F

DISINFECTANT:, BENZALKONIUM CHLORIDE - 5.0 G;
GLUTARALDEHYDE - 25.0 G; , FORMALDEHYDE - 14.8 G IN 100 ML

COMPOSITION
100 ml of preparation contains active substances:
> Benzalkonium chloride - 5.0 g,
> Glutaraldehyde - 25.0 g;
> Formaldehyde - 14.8 g.
> Excipients: non-ionic surfactants, water.

PHARMACOLOGICAL PROPERTIES
VIROSAN F is a complex detergent-disinfecting agent with following actions: bactericidal (Bacillus anthracis, Coxiella burnetii, E.coli, Klebsiella pneumoniae, Listeria monocytogenes, Mycobacterium tuberculosis, Mycoplasma spp., Proteus mirabilis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Salmonella spp., Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus faecalis), fungicidal (Aspergillus spp., Candida spp., Fusarium spp., Penicillium spp.), virucidal (Pestis africana suum, Newcastle disease virus, Reovirus, Birnavirus, Rotavirus, Coronavirus, Papillomavirus, Paramyxovirus, Poxvirus, Orthomyxovirus, Pestivirus).

INDICATION
VIROSAN F is used to disinfect livestock and poultry houses, incubators, artificial insemination points, vehicles, surfaces, objects and equipment which are subjects to veterinary supervision, to fill the disinfecting barriers.
Disinfectant remains active under intense illumination, when using hard water, in the presence of organic materials (manure, rests of forage, etc.), it works in a wide temperature range: from 0°C to 50°C. At temperatures below 0°C, antifreeze additives (propylene glycol and other similar in quality) are recommended, which allows to use VIROSAN MAX even at temperature up to minus 20°C.

DOSAGES
Disinfection is carried out after thorough mechanical and sanitary cleaning of the objects’ surfaces to be decontaminated.
Disinfection is carried out by following methods: wiping, spraying and foaming. For disinfection, the aqueous solutions of the disinfectant are used.
Working solutions for disinfection of various objects are prepared in labeled plastic or enameled containers (without enamel damage) by adding to the tap water a corresponding amount of disinfectant (Table 1).

For forced disinfection at infectious diseases of bacterial and viral aetiology by fogging method (aerosol spraying), an aqueous solution of the product is used (to 1 litre of the product add 4 litres of water per 1000 m3 of the room volume).
When working solution is sprayed the ventilation should be turned off, exposure time is for 3 hours. Fogging can be carried out both cold and thermal using fogging generators.
Aerosol disinfection with the AG-UD generator: an aqueous solution of the product is used: to 1L of the product add 9 L of water per 1000 m3 of the room volume.
Disinfection of eggs and tare is carried out by 0.1-0.25% solution by irrigation or aerosol methods. Exposure time is 20 minutes.

CONTRAINDICATIONS
None.

PRECAUTIONS
Do not use in the presence of animals and birds.
Accessible to animals places of possible accumulation of the agent residues (feeders, drinkers, etc.) are rinsed off with water. On the other surfaces, rinsing of the agent residues is not required.
SPECIAL PRECAUTIONS FOR PERSONNEL AND SERVICE STAFF
Persons working with the drug should be instructed in safety precautions and precautionary measures. Pregnant women and adolescents under the age of 18 are not allowed to work with the product. Workers need to adhere to personal hygiene rules; in the workplace do not eat, do not smoke while working with the product.
Preparation of working solutions is carried out in a well ventilated room where there is water. All rooms where work with a disinfectant is carried out should be equipped with forced air ventilation system. All electrical appliances must be switched off during processing.
Work related to the preparation of working solutions of the product, is carried out with measures to protect the respiratory system, skin and eyes (special clothes, universal respirator, goggles, and rubber gloves).
In case of accidental contact with eyes, rinse immediately with running water for 10-15 minutes and consult a doctor.
When signs of respiratory irritation appear, should stop work with the product, to bring the affected person immediately to fresh air or in another room. Mouth and nasopharynx rinsed with water, seek medical advice.
In case of accidental contact of the product with the skin, it is necessary to rinse the affected area thoroughly with running water, and then lubricate the skin with an emollient cream.
In case of accidental ingestion of the product, one should drink several glasses of water with 10-20 crushed activated carbon tablets and consult a doctor. No stomach flushing!
It is forbidden to smoke, drink, or eat while carrying out the disinfection. After processing, wash hands and face with soap and water.
